Gold bronze primitive style pendant with emerald green briolette, ancient treasure inspired, bird pendant, relic
A cool gold bronze pendant inspired by ancient treasures, accented with an emerald green briolette and bird image. Vintage style with an earthy, yet glamorous vibe!
The pendant was handcrafted using "Goldie Bronze" metal clay, which has a brilliant, soft gold shine. This unique artisan material is comprised of tiny particles of bronze suspended in organic binders. When fired in a kiln at a high temperature, the binders burn away, leaving behind durable bronze metal. The pendant was textured and formed to resemble an ancient coin or relic, with a tribal bird image. It was finished and polished by hand and with rotary tools, and treated to help prevent tarnishing. The back has a satin finish.
To add a touch of glamour, I wire wrapped a lovely emerald green faceted glass briolette and suspended it from the pendant. In keeping with the earthy, boho feeling of this piece, I used a simple soft black rubber cord and gold toned beads. The result is a modern piece of art jewelry with a great "ancient" feel.
The bronze pendant measures about one inch long. The green briolette is 14mm long. The total length of the pendant is just under two inches. It is lightweight and lovingly crafted.
The necklace length is 17" with a three inch chain extender and gold plated lobster clasp.
